Greetings, church!
First of all, I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed with our luncheon yesterday. We really appreciate all those who helped set everything up, cleaned up afterwards, received & prepared the food, etc. I really appreciate all the effort so many of y’all make when we have these luncheons! Thanks again!
As for the service beforehand, I started a new teaching series on the 23rd Psalm yesterday! And we started out looking at the spirit behind this Psalm – namely, the perspective that David had in writing it. In giving an overview of it, we learned that it’s the people who know their God that will be strong, bold, and confident.
The video of the message will be posted tomorrow night (Tuesday) on our Facebook page @ 7 PM and we are also about to start posting them on our YouTube page as well. So go ahead and subscribe to our channel if you haven’t done so already. We have other videos that we’ve done over the years already uploaded for you. Here’s a link: HPC YouTube channel.
I’m attaching the High Points notes next week as I plan to continue our look at the first phrase in this Psalm – The LORD is my Shepherd! This is one of the names of God that we are given in the Scriptures that helps us get to know Him like David did! So come ready to learn about our Good Shepherd’s true nature this Sunday!
Here’s the schedule for this week:
1. The Pastor’s Study live video will be held Tuesday night @ 5:30 this week where we will be concluding our look at the gifts of the Spirit by looking at the gift of “faith.” So join me on our Pastor’s Study Facebook group tomorrow night!
2. Our Wednesday Evening Prayer / Bible Study group meets every Wednesday @ 7 PM where we study the Book of First Peter and then pray together! Wednesdays are always a great time so come join us!
3. Healing School meets every Thursday morning @ 10:30 AM in the House of Expectation. So if you or someone you know is in need of healing from the Lord, come join us! Get yourself in the environment of healing and watch what the Miracle Worker can do in your life!
4. Finally, this coming Sunday night @ 6 PM, we have another one of our testimony nights scheduled. This go around, we will be hearing from Julia Haas, Kelsey Luther, and Britt Bridges. This will be a great time of being encouraged by other people’s stories and getting to know our church family better! Come join us!
I also wanted to mention that I plan to open it up for people to join the church here in the next week or two. I’ve had a handful of people asking about joining recently, so I wanted to mention it on this email for anyone else who might be in the same boat.
So if you believe the LORD has planted you here at High Point and would like to officially become a part of our body, please let me know asap. Feel free to call me with any questions.
See y’all this week!
